Scotch Eggs All Round
Scotch eggs are the perfect snack, savoury and delicious, not the most nutritious of foods because of the sausage meat but hey the Environment minister thinks it would “most probably” count as a substantial meal. Even as I write this I am disappointed – it is so far from a substantial meal its untrue. It is a snack at best – even the giant farm shop versions – and people are fools to think that it will work as their food when they go to their tier two pubs.
Believe me when I say I do love a good scotch egg but I would never consider it a meal, you would need to add at least some kind of salad/coleslaw and possibly even chips to make it a “substantial meal”. The lock down tiers and rules are already being mocked surely now is not the time to be encouraging people to take the mickey.
This of course makes no difference to tier three dwellers who are resigned to takeaway food and drink – they are resigned to a quiet life until their “R” rates lower themselves.
